During your appointment, a technician will connect to your device to diagnose and fix the issue directly. This page selects the right tool for your device. Set it up before the call, and your technician will guide you through the rest.

Quick Assist (built into Windows) Already on your computer. Nothing to download and no account needed on your side.
- Hold down Ctrl and the Windows key, then press Q. Ctrl + ⊞ Win + Q
- Or click Start, type "Quick Assist", and press Enter.
- If Windows offers to install or update Quick Assist, click Install and wait for it to finish.
- When your technician provides a 6-digit code on the call, enter it into the "Code from assistant" box and click Submit.
- Click "Allow" to share your screen. If your technician requests control, click "Allow" again.

On Windows
- Click the download button above and open the file when it finishes.
- If Windows asks "Do you want to allow this app to make changes?", click Yes.
- RustDesk opens on its own. You do not need to install it.
- Read the "ID" and "One-time password" shown on the left side of the window to your technician.
- When a prompt asks to accept the connection, click "Accept".
On a Mac
- Click the download button above and open the file when it finishes.
- Drag the RustDesk icon into the Applications folder.
- Open Applications and double-click RustDesk. If macOS warns about the app, click "Open".
- When asked, open System Settings → Privacy & Security and turn RustDesk on under both "Screen & System Audio Recording" and "Accessibility". Quit and reopen RustDesk afterwards.
- Read the "ID" and "One-time password" shown in the RustDesk window to your technician.
On Linux
- Download the package above. The .deb works on Ubuntu, Mint, and Debian.
- Double-click the file to install it with your Software app, or use the .rpm on Fedora. The AppImage runs without installing (right-click → Properties → "Allow executing").
- Open RustDesk from your applications menu and read the "ID" and "One-time password" to your technician.
On Android
- Download the app above and open it from your notifications.
- If your phone blocks the install, tap Settings and allow installs "from this source", then go back.
- Open RustDesk, go to the "Share screen" tab, and tap "Start service". Allow the screen capture and accessibility permissions it asks for.
- Read the "ID" and "One-time password" shown on the screen to your technician.
Chrome Remote Desktop Works in the Google Chrome browser on Windows, Mac, Linux, and Chromebooks. Needs a Google account.
- Open Google Chrome and go to remotedesktop.google.com/support. remotedesktop.google.com/support
- Sign in with your Google (Gmail) account if asked.
- Under "Get Support", click the download button and follow the prompts to add Chrome Remote Desktop.
- Click "Generate Code" and read the 12-digit code to your technician during your call.
- When a prompt asks whether to share your screen, click "Share".
Share your screen in Google Meet iPhones and iPads cannot be controlled remotely, so your technician will guide you while you share your screen.
- Join our Google Meet call from the link in your confirmation email.
- Tap the three dots (⋮ or ⋯) at the bottom, then "Share screen".
- Tap "Start Broadcast". Your technician will talk you through each step while viewing your screen.
- When finished, tap "Stop sharing".
