Website Services Agreement

1. The service

R5 Industries ("R5") designs, builds, hosts and maintains a website for you under the plan you choose at checkout. The plan fee covers design, hosting, security updates and support as described on the Websites page.

2. Fees and billing

  • Launch: $149 per month, or $1,609 per year when paid annually (10% off twelve months).
  • Growth: $299 per month, or $3,229 per year when paid annually (10% off twelve months).
  • Monthly plans are billed monthly in advance by card through Stripe.
  • Annual plans are billed once per year and renew each year until cancelled.
  • Prices exclude domain registration and applicable sales tax.

3. Minimum term

Monthly plans have a 12-month minimum term starting on the first billing date. After the minimum term the plan continues month to month.

4. Cancellation

  • You may cancel at any time, but you still owe the rest of the minimum term.
  • Your website stays live through the end of the term you have paid for or owe. R5 then takes it down, unless you renew by contacting R5. There are no refunds, and nothing is prorated.
  • By default, billing continues at the same monthly amount until the end of the minimum term, then stops.
  • Pay-out option: instead, you may pay the remaining months now at a 10% discount (remaining months x monthly price x 0.9). After that payment clears there is no further billing, and the site still stays live until the original end of the term, then is taken down unless you renew.
  • After the minimum term, a month-to-month plan can be cancelled and ends at the end of the current billing month. The site stays live until then, then is taken down unless you renew.
  • Annual plans are not refunded on cancellation. The site stays live through the end of the paid year, then is taken down unless you renew, and billing does not renew.

5. Ownership and hosting

R5 owns and hosts your website as part of the plan. It is built on open-source technology, and on request R5 will transfer the site so it can be hosted elsewhere.

6. Domain names

R5 registers and manages your domain through Cloudflare or Namecheap. You pay the registrar's yearly price for the domain, which varies by domain, plus a one-time $50 domain setup or transfer fee. If you cancel and want to keep your domain, the same $50 transfer fee applies.

7. Electronic signature

By typing your full legal name and accepting this agreement at checkout you sign it electronically. R5 records your name, the agreement version, the time, your IP address and your browser's user-agent as evidence of your agreement.
